Brigadier General Kevin Leonard and Brigadier William Johnson talk with a reporter from WUSA in Washington D.C. about the up-armoring of vehicles used in Operation Iraqi Freedom. They talk about how the number of up-armored vehicles going into Iraq has increased since 2003. They also talk about the vehicles without the up-armored protection not leaving the operating base, the use of the term "Hillbilly" armor, and the ongoing protection of Humvees for future missions. They also talk about the importance communication with convoy commanders returning from the field plays in keeping our troops safe overseas. Video from 14th Public Affairs Detachment.
