News Package on the instructors who train deploying service members on driving Mine Resistant Ambush Protective vehicles and surviving rollovers prior to mobilizing overseas.
Many soldiers are going overseas without ever operating a mine resistant ambush protection vehicle, also known as an M-RAP. Sergeant Ann Cantu shows us how instructors are stepping up to make sure soldiers understand the type of vehicles they are using while down range. All soldiers must go through rollover and drivers training before they deploy overseas. Soundbites include SFC. Herbert Nash - MRAP Instructor, 174th Infantry Brigade, St. Mary, Jamaica and SFC. Keith Hands, H.E.A.T. Training Instructor, 1st 314th Infantry Battalion, Belleviall, NJ. Produced by Sgt. Ann Cantu, Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, NJ. Also available in High Definition.
