The event marked the retirement of the last A-model Apache aircraft in the Army inventory, as the fleet shifts to more recent models. The last unit of the model series, this AH-64A Apache, tail number 90-00451, served overseas in several key engagements since its date of manufacture in 1993. It will go on to be upgraded to a D-Model Longbow by the Boing company and the Apache Aviation team. Guest speakers, in order, include Col. Shane Openshaw, Apache Project Manager, Maj. Gen. Tim Crosby, Commander PEO Aviation and Maj. Gen. James K. “Red” Brown, Commanding General of the 36th Infantry Division. Also available in high definition.
