Turkish Land Forces and 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment Troops officially completed the battalion level command post exercise called Cooperative Resolve 2012, the exercise focused on a simulated joint military operation to combat terrorism in the Grafenwoehr Training Simulation Center from June 16-26.
The missions and scenarios are computer generated events giving unit commanders and staff practical exercises to increase unit understanding of how to operate in a NATO environment.
Participants recreate missions typical of a battalion tactical operations center and brigade headquarters in a deployed environment. Realistic situations allow the staff to react to multiple situations ranging from weapons smuggling and coordinated attacks to kidnapping and civilian casualties.
