Camp Arifjan celebrates Earth Day 2012 by planting two palm trees and talking about the recycling efforts at the post, an activity that recycles, re-uses, and re-purposes cardboard, wood, plastic and reclaimed supply items for reissue to service members on base. The recycling activity here saves the taxpayers money by selling bulk recycled items as well as giving out “free issue” items such as printer cartridges, printer paper, and other items the military won’t have to purchase again. Produced by Sgt. Joe A. Villines. Includes soundbites from Master Sgt. Brock Malcolm, environmental non-commissioned officer-in-charge for the 364th ESC opening the ceremony with statistics from Earth Day and Brig. Gen. Jonathan G. Ives, commander of the 364th ESC talking about what we’re doing in Kuwait to reduce usage and ultimately save taxpayer dollars. Also available in high definition.
