Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, Chief of Staff of the Army was in Hawaii this week to meet with Army leaders and commanders to discuss the future of the Army in the Pacific. This was his first stop as part of a larger tour of the Asia-Pacific region.
The Chief of Staff's visit follows announcements by both President Barack Obama and the U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that the U.S. would be placing greater focus on the Pacific region.
