B-Roll of 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade Troopers enjoy Christmas dinner at the Aviation Dining Facility (D-FAC) on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Most Troopers were able to take a day to relax while senior staff officers and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) served dinner. The menu was quite extensive, offering ham, prime rib, turkey, stuffing, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and all the fixings. Santa showed up to say hello along with a few of his elves. Tomorrow while most people are out shopping, the CAB Troopers will be back at work maintaining a constant aerial presence over Afghanistan.
Additional B-roll of senior leaders and staff of Task Force Poseidon (another name for the 82nd CAB while deployed) opening gifts during an office “White Elephant” party. Since everyone is far from home, gift exchanges are easy to find during the holidays. Just about every group either has a “Secret Santa” party or “White Elephant” party so no-one feels left out during the holidays.
The 82nd CAB assumed control of the skies over eastern Afghanistan on October 18th and will return to Fort Bragg in about nine months. The brigade has around 3,000 Soldiers in five different locations throughout Regional-Command East. Also available in high definition
