Col. Dave Pond was an Air Force reservist serving presidential support for President Bush. He is also a pilot for United. He is now the vice wing commander for the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan that handles the bulk of the airlift into and out of Afghanistan. Here is his story from 9/11/.
