SSG Marcos Abreu and SSG Shane Sapp of Iron Company, 3D Squadron, 2D Stryker Cavalry Regiment are recipients of the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for their courageous acts and outstanding leadership during an operation in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan where they cleared a fort, that they would later occupy, of IED's. First they helped clear the route to the fort and made sure everything was safe.
