Akira Kurosawa, commanding officer of the Western Infantry Unit (WIR) during the opening ceremony for Exercise Iron Fist on Camp Pendleton, Calif. February 8, 2011. The soldiers and Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and the WIR will participate in bilateral training beginning today.
