U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry (AWACS) from the 964th Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron lands and taxis to a parking spot after landing at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Dec. 2, 2010. Airmen from the 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron then tow the E-3 to its final parking stop for maintenance. The E-3 provides situational awareness of friendly, neutral and hostile activity, the command and control of an area of responsibility, battle management of theater forces, all-altitude and all-weather surveillance of the battle space, and early warning of enemy actions during joint, allied anf coalition operations.
