H&HS OSA squadron wins JOSAC 2023 best squadron award. Maj. Gen. Laura L. Lenderman, Director of Operations, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) recognized Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) as the Operational Support Airlift (OSA) Squadron of the year for 2023.
Col. Mark Bortnem officially assumed duties as the commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort from Col. Karl Arbogast today at the headquarters building aboard the installation.
Laura Marshall, guidance counselor, had a bird’s eye view of her school as she flew over May River High School at 2,000 feet in a U.S. Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 Super Hornet with the Blue Angels. When she landed, back at MCAS Beaufort she was excited to share a new found perspective from her flight with her students.
“We want our community to know we are here to help them,” Maj. Steven Cox, operations officer, MCAS Beaufort, said. “We want service
members, their families, and the local area to know their safety is our priority.”
