Maintainers from the 910th Maintenance Squadron retrofitted a C-130J-30 aircraft from Kessler Air Force Base, Mississippi's 403rd Wing with modified doors and electrical connections, enabling the aircraft to carry the Electronic Modular Aerial Spray System. The EMASS is used by the 910th Airlift Wing to carry out its DoD-unique aerial spray capability to eliminate pest and disease-carrying insects and nuisance or invasive vegetation and disperse oil spills in large bodies of water. The 910th Airlift Wing uses C-130H Hercules aircraft but is expected to receive C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft beginning later this year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Eric M. White)
