The Department of Defense has increased the Basic Allowance for Housing rates for 2024, raising them by an average of 5.4 percent. This is to support active-duty service members and ensure they are able to meet their living requirements in an increasingly competitive market, as well as to account for inflation. This raise is also adjusted to account for differences in geographic market conditions.
