    TRANSATLANTIC DIVISION ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

Building Legacy is the digital historical reference booklet of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, documenting its organizational footprint across the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia from 1940 to 2025. Compiled from official records, published sources, and firsthand contributions, this volume captures the lineage of USACE divisions, districts, task forces, area offices, and other operational elements that have shaped the region over the past decades.

This digital edition offers a chronological overview of USACE’s evolving presence and mission support, highlighting major transitions, structural milestones, and enduring contributions to U.S. strategic goals. Designed as both a historical record and a living document, Building Legacy invites continued input from the USACE community and its mission partners to help preserve and strengthen this shared history.
