ANA successfully graduate combat engineer course

KHOWST PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Soldiers assigned to 2nd Platoon, 258th Mobile Combat Engineer Training Team, Task Force Prowler, partnered with Afghan soldiers from the 4th Kandak, Engineer Company, Afghan National Army, conducted a live fire exercise to conclude a two-week combat engineer course near Camp Clark, Afghanistan, Dec. 20, 2012.

During the course, ANSF soldiers learned principle combat engineer skills. In order to graduate, the soldiers had to demonstrate proficiency in handling explosives, neutralizing booby traps, breaching obstacles and combat medical tasks.

At the conclusion of the course 12 soldiers from the Afghan Engineer Coy earned certificates of completion. The successes of courses like these continue to demonstrate the readiness of the Afghan National Army for unilateral operations.
