CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – The 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, will receive a new commanding officer during a change of command ceremony here, Thursday, Sept. 6.<br /> <br /> Lieutenant Col. Kevin A. Norton will relinquish command of 1st Bn., 4th Marines to Maj. Christopher J. Bronzi.<br /> <br /> Norton is a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He has served in the Marine Corps since January of 1990. <br /> <br /> His awards include the Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device and bronze star, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon with a gold star. <br /> <br /> Bronzi, a native of Poughquag, N.Y., and a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, was commissioned in 1996. <br /> <br /> His awards include the Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with a gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, and the Combat Action Ribbon.<br /> <br /> A live broadcast of the ceremony will be available via webcast at the following link: http://www.dvidshub.net/webcast/2588 .
