RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The Logistics Compliance Assessment Program inspection is almost complete at RAF Mildenhall and inspectors from Air Mobility Command are visiting the 727th Air Mobility Squadron, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron and 100th Maintenance Group.
Master Sgt. Tracey Curtis, an LCAP inspector from Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is one of the inspectors for 727th AMS air freight services, to ensure they are complying with all applicable Air Force regulations and guidelines.
He said the experience has been very uplifting.
"Everyone within the 727th Air Mobility Squadron has been willing to help and they all have a great attitude," Curtis said. "Both the military and Ministry of Defence workers have been very receptive to us and accepting of the inspectors from Day One.
"The MoD civilians have been actively seeking out opportunities to be inspected. The military and MoD here seem to have a great working relationship," Curtis said.
His comments were echoed by the LCAP team chief, Col. William Zeck, also from Scott AFB.
"I've had a chance to visit several work sections and have been very impressed with the airmen here," the colonel said. "They've all been very focused, engaged and enthusiastic.
"It seems indicative that they trust their leadership; as a colonel from another base, I'm unfamiliar to them, but they've been eager to come and share with me what they do. That tells me the leadership here is very open and accessible to their folks," Zeck said.
"I've also met some of the MoD civilians, and they all seem very enthusiastic and positive," said the LCAP team chief.
The LCAP began Aug. 13 and is projected to end Aug. 20.
