NORFOLK, Va. – Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Centers will pilot its first Integrated Test Engineers course on June 18 in Norfolk, Va.
The 3-day course is intended to provide ITEs with the basic knowledge and skills required to become a functional member of the availability project team.
“The course will provide ITEs with a thorough review of the current position responsibilities and requirements associated with their jobs, and will also offer an overview of job-specific scenarios that address the more complicated aspects of their work,” said CNRMC Rear Adm. David Gale.
The ITE course is aimed at new and seasoned ITEs alike, and will cover availability project team composition, project management practices, and policies/strategies related to the development and management of an Integrated Test Plan.
“The course also provides a review of current instructions that govern the day-to-day work decisions made by ITEs, and emphasizes the need for ITEs to establish and maintain on-the-job compliance through their proper evaluation of objective quality evidence for completed work.
Once the ITE pilot course is completed, CNRMC anticipates they will offer one course monthly in San Diego and one in Norfolk.
