BRAINERD, Minn. - In recognition of our soldiers who have served their country faithfully with honor, dignity and professionalism there will be a Welcome Home Warrior Citizen Ceremony held, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.

In September 2010, the 309th Mobilization Augmentation Company deployed to Afghanistan. They were tasked with route clearance during their deployment and cleared almost 200 improvised explosive devices and encountered well over 100 enemy attacks. The unit has been recommended for 96 Combat Action Badges, 46 Purple Hearts and two Army Commendation Medal’s with Valor devices.

The 309th MAC is comprised of approximately 80 soldiers from around the state of Minnesota and 50 from other units in twelve different states.

The location of the event will be held at Central Lakes College, Brainerd, Minn.
