SCOTIA, N.Y. -- Two New York Air National Guard Airmen who were part of a 109th Airlift Wing aircrew that evacuated seven badly burned fishermen from Antarctica to New Zealand at the request of the National Science Foundation, Jan. 13. will be available to speak with members of the press, Jan. 20.
WHO: Major Josh Neilson and Tech Sgt Randy Powell , the pilot and loadmaster of the LC-130 crew that carried members of the crew of the fishing vessel Jeong Woo 2 to New Zealand.
WHAT: An opportunity for members of the capital region press to speak with them about their experience and what the members of the crew did during this mission. The Air Guardsmen returned from their deployment to Antarctica this week.
