KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Ryan Newman finished 18th in Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400 Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway, Oct. 9.

After four of 10 Chase races, Newman is 11th in the driver standings, 54 points behind leader Carl Edwards.

Newman's teammate, Tony Stewart, finished 15th. He is seventh in the standings, 19 points out of first.

The race winner was Jimmie Johnson. Rounding out the top-five in order were: Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards.

The next Sprint Cup race is Saturday night - the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Oct. 15.

Note: The U.S. Army NHRA team of Top Fuel drivers Tony Schumacher and Antron Brown were off this weekend. The drag-racing circuit resumes action next weekend in the Arizona NHRA Nationals at Firebird International Raceway outside of Phoenix.
