INDIANAPOLIS - Drag racing fans have further narrowed the NHRA's Greatest Moments from 60 to 10 and U.S. Army Racing held a spot on the prestigious list which was announced Tuesday following the 57th-annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals here at Lucas Oil Raceway.

U.S. Army Top Fuel pilot, Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher, made the cut following the second wave of fan voting which began August 18 and concluded, Sept. 5.

Schumacher's eye-opening performance at the 2006 season finale - commonly known as "The Run" - continued to collect a plethora of votes.

At Auto Club Raceway, the Chicago-area resident had to set a national elapsed time record (4.428-seconds) in the final round while also winning the race to clinch his third consecutive world championship.

Fan voting to slice the list to the NHRA's Greatest Moment has already commenced via NHRA's Facebook page and will continue through Wednesday, Nov. 9.

After each of the first-five races of the Countdown to the Championship, which begins next weekend in Charlotte, the Moment with the fewest votes will be eliminated. Hence, that will leave five Moments still in play entering the Auto Club NHRA Finals.

The Greatest Moment in NHRA history will be revealed in Pomona, Calif., Sunday, Nov. 13.
