FORT KNOX, Ky. - U.S. Army NHRA Top Fuel drivers Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher and Antron Brown were at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis this weekend for the 57th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.

Brown recorded his fifth win of the season by beating point leader, Del Worsham, in the finals with a 3.813-second pass at 321.73 mph. It was his first Top Fuel win in the NHRA's most prestigious race.

For only the second time in his career, Schumacher lost in the first round of the U.S. Nationals to Bob Vandergriff after the parachutes on his dragster deployed prematurely.

Brown, second in the standings, and Schumacher, who is fifth, will now head for zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, N.C., in two weeks for the beginning of the NHRA's Countdown to 1. With the points being reset following the Indy event, Brown will be 30 points behind Worsham, while Schumacher will trail the leader by 60 points.

On the U.S. Army NASCAR Racing side, driver Ryan Newman will wait until Tuesday to compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which was postponed Sunday night due to rain.

After qualifying ninth in the No. 39 U.S. Army Reserve Chevrolet, Newman will attempt to clinch a spot in NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup.
