TASHKENT, Uzbekistan – A biomedical information exchange took place amongst Third Army soldiers, Uzbek military officers and Uzbek medical personnel in Uzbekistan, July 12–14.
During the exchange, Third Army troops briefed Uzbek service members and medical staff on the Forward Repair Activity Medical Team’s composition and capabilities.
The FRAM briefing provided an overall concept of medical equipment, supporting strategies, and functionality for Computed Tomography.
Third Army soldiers also visited the Central Clinical Military Hospital where they updated Uzbek military officers on health service logistics and support, the single integrated medical logistics manager agency, class VIII supply management and distribution, biomedical equipment maintenance, blood management, optical fabrication and repair, provision of medical gases, and health facility management.
After giving vital updates, Third Army service members taught Uzbek medical staff and officers of the importance of radiation protection in diagnostic and interventional radiology and managing patient doses in Computed Tomography situational analysis.
At the conclusion of the information exchange, Third Army troops had the opportunity to engage the Uzbek military, emphasizing the importance of exceeding medical guidelines and regulations while sharing their tactics, techniques, and procedures during a final tour of the hospital.
As Third Army soldiers prepared to depart Uzbekistan, all participants received a certificate, and many prestigious coins and gifts were given.
