WASHINGTON D.C. - Health.mil presents a new, informational web page dedicated to educating interested stakeholders and service members about Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs and director, TRICARE Management Activity present a new, informational web page dedicated to educating interested stakeholders and service members about Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy, a series of techniques and exercises designed to assist persons who have suffered cognitive defects as a result of injury or illness recover such skills.

The informational web page features an overview describing CRT as a collection of individual treatment strategies designed to improve problems with memory, attention, perception, learning, planning and judgment brought about by brain injury, neurological disorders or other illnesses. The web page provides links for more information about the brain and neurological injuries. In addition, it addresses frequently asked questions about TRICARE benefits for individuals who may require CRT as part of their overall recovery and treatment plan.
