Task Force Bon Voizen reception facility serves as way station in humanitarian exercise

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – A small compound amidst tent cities here is serving as the gateway in and out of Haiti for troops and equipment assigned to the Louisiana National Guard-led humanitarian exercise known as Task Force Bon Voizen. The walled compound – a former Chinese-owned hat factory – has been host to more than 1,500 transient service members since April 1.

Task Force Bon Voizen, New Horizons Haiti 2011, is a Commander, U.S. Southern Command sponsored, U.S. Army South conducted, joint foreign military interaction/humanitarian exercise under the command of the Louisiana National Guard.
