TARIN KOWT, Afghanistan - The 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion sent a highly motivated Forward Logistics Element team to Tarin Kowt in the Uruzgan province, Afghanistan.
This team is comprised of a number of soldiers from the 212th Transportation Company and the 452d Ordinance Company. Soldiers were sent to Tarin Kowt to work side-by-side with the Australian Army functioning as their Movement Control Team. The mission of the Movement Control Team is to provide ammunition and transportation support for the Uruzgan province.
The 129th soldiers began this partnership by conducting familiarization training with each other’s weapon systems and vehicles, building relationships and setting the conditions for successful joint missions in the Uruzgan province in the near future.
