Parwan Province, Afghanistan - First Lt. Quinten Carlson has been awarded the Army Achievement Medal, Jan. 15, for meritorious achievement while serving as the officer in charge of the Task Force Peacekeeper counter insurgency team inside the wire, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Carlson played a vital role in renewing the contract of the Detention Facility in Parwan’s religious advisor, whose service is critical to the day-to-day operations of the COIN team, Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. His attention to detail and superior performance were in keeping with the finest traditions of Task force Peacekeeper, Combined Interagency Task Force 435 and the United States Army.
