ZABUL, Afghanistan – The Afghan national army’s 1st Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 205th Corps and the Nawbahar Afghan national police, with assistance from U.S. Navy SEALs, discovered an insurgent supply cache, Dec. 25, in a village in Nawbahar district, Zabul province.
Members of the combined force discovered the cache, consisting of homemade explosives, weapons and uniforms, during a patrol through the remote village.
Leadership from the ANA and ANP met with village elders immediately following the patrol to discuss any issues or concerns.
