MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan - Members of the Afghan Air Force, Afghan National Army and NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan advisors distributed 500 solar powered, hand-cranked radios, provided by Radio Azadi/Radio Liberty to two Feyzabad schools and villages on Dec 2.

These radios will provide needed information to the community on news and international support to Afghanistan. The distribution also showed them their government and military are providing support and security to their community.

Distributing to the school children will ensure the entire family will enjoy the benefits of the radios. ANA Maj. Gen. Rahmani took the time to include this distribution during his battle field circulation across Northern Afghanistan.

Rahmani also meet with Provincial Minister of Education to discuss ANA support to schools as well as addressing members of the Feyzabad boy school on importance of education.

Col. Tran is scheduling for the remaining 500 Radio Azadi radios to be delivered within the next week to Fakhar, Taloquan and the surrounding area with support of AAF, ANA, and NATC-A personnel.
