MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan - On Nov. 29, members of the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, Afghan Air Force, and NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan completed the emergency resupply mission of Afghan National Army 209th Corps Forward Operating Base in Darzab.

Regional Command-North and the 209th Corps worked together to support both the coalition and ANA ground campaign plan. Members of the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade supported the Mazar-e-Sharif AAF Detachment 3 by integrating two U.S. Army AH-64 Apache attack helicopters providing protection for the two AAF MI-17s transport helicopters and allowing the AAF to successfully resupply an ANA Forward Operating Base.

The soldiers at the Forward Operating Bases only had five days of food left from what they had rationed. The resupply allows the team to last through the winter months and completed the 209th Corps. Commander’s #1 priority of resupplying the FOB.
