KABUL, Afghanistan – An Afghan and coalition security force captured a Haqqani Network facilitator operating in Sabari district, who conducts attacks against Afghan and coalition forces, in Khost province Sunday.
The joint security force targeted a compound southeast of Guldar in Sabari district to search for the targeted individual. Afghan forces used a loudspeaker to call for all the occupants to exit the compounds peacefully and then secured the area.
After initial questioning at the scene, the security force identified and detained the targeted individual and two of his associates. The security force also found multiple weapons at the scene.
Afghan and coalition forces did not fire their weapons and they protected the women and children throughout the search.
