Yokosuka, Japan (July 31, 2026) – More than one hundred military personnel from NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka (FLCY) gathered to participate in the command’s inaugural Physical Training (PT) session. This historic event, held at Purdy Field onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, brought Sailors, officers and Marines together for an energizing workout featuring functional fitness stations designed to challenge strength, endurance, agility and teamwork. Hosted by the Command Fitness Leaders (CFL) and Assistant Command Fitness Leaders (ACFLs) – who are responsible for promoting physical readiness and fostering a culture of health across the command – the session showcased their vital role. Beyond coordinating and leading monthly command PT, FLCY's CFLs and ACFLs oversee the Navy Physical Readiness Program, conduct Body Composition Assessments (BCAs), administer Physical Readiness Tests (PRTs), and provide professional fitness guidance to ensure all personnel maintain mission-ready standards. The event, which will now be held monthly, reinforced the command's commitment to physical readiness, mental resilience, and building a stronger, healthier warfighting team—one workout at a time.
