FORT STEWART, Ga.— Dogface Soldiers stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, now have another option when it comes to receiving their morning cup of coffee. 9-Line Apparel, partnered with the Black Rifle Coffee Company, officially opened its doors at a new location in the center of Fort Stewart, home to the 3rd Infantry Division. This provides quality coffee, breakfast sandwiches and patriotic apparel to Soldiers and their families.
Fort Stewart and Army & Air Force Exchange Service celebrated the official opening with a ceremony Aug. 27, 2026.
This additional dining option adds to the already growing list of venues the Fort Stewart community can choose from on the installation.
For Col. William Weaver, the garrison commander of Fort Stewart, having choices on coffee is an opportunity to enhance everyday living on the installation.
“It gives your family more of an option where they want to spend their money,” Weaver said. “That in itself improves the quality of life for the people working here.”
The new location offers 9-Line’s unique brand of patriotic apparel in addition to a helicopter flight simulator. The store also serves a multitude of Black Rifle Coffee drinks and breakfast options.
Tyler Merritt, the CEO of 9-Line and an Army veteran, emphasized the importance of providing Soldier sand families a location to meet and drink coffee.
“We want to be a place soldiers and families come to socialize,” Merritt said speaking on his past experiences. “We lived on coffee, although it was not very good. Now we are set on providing that high-quality octane.”
The store opening comes following the implementation of the Army’s new Flexible Eating and Expanded Dining program (FEED), which allows Soldiers to use their basic allowance for subsistence to purchase food from venues across the installation. Fort Stewart is the first installation across the Department of War to implement the program, one of the many steps taken to increase quality of life.
The location is not currently on the Army’s FEED program, however that did not stop Soldiers from lining up to enjoy coffee and sandwiches during the grand opening.
Fort Stewart continues to seek new and innovative options for Soldiers to dine.
“This is a small step,” said Weaver. “However the more we are able to bring in these premier vendors in order to give Soldiers and families more options, I think the more successful we will be as an installation.”
Having multiple options for dining and coffee focuses on improving overall Soldier quality of life. An increase in quality of life can have a direct correlation with Soldiers' morale. These new dining ventures are just the latest milestone in Fort Stewart’s ongoing mission to modernize post amenities and enrich daily life for service members and their families.
