F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo.--- On August 14, 2026, the 37th Helicopter Squadron at F.E. Warren Air Force Base held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the MH-139 Grey Wolf hangar and 90th Missile Security Operations Squadron Tactical Response Force building, marking an advancement in modernization for the U.S. Air Force's strategic operations.

The MH-139 Grey Wolf is designed to replace the UH-1N Huey fleet, with a primary focus on improving security operations, combat search and rescue missions and transport capabilities.

With 90 MSOS TRF operators on 24-7 standby for security responses, the MH-139 stands ready to transport them for security missions with its improved speed and range, which are essential for safeguarding intercontinental ballistic missile sites.

“I want to stress that this is not just a helicopter hangar,” said Col. Bryant Bevan, 582nd Helicopter Group commander. “This is a Helicopter and TRF Operations building. It is for the entire nuclear security enterprise and we are excited to partner with our defenders.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony not only highlights the technological advancements of the MH-139 Grey Wolf but also emphasizes its importance to the local community and national security. 37 HS directly supports the 90th Missile Wing, which plays a vital role in the U.S. nuclear deterrent strategy–integrating the Grey Wolf into its operations enhances the overall security posture of the nation.

This new facility is crucial for enhancing operational readiness and security within the nuclear security enterprise, reflecting a commitment to excellence and collaboration. As the 37 HS and the 90th Missile Wing integrate advanced capabilities, they strengthen and ensure preparedness in an evolving landscape of threats.
