F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. - Gen. S.L. Davis, commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Shawn Aiello, command chief of AFGSC, visited F.E. Warren Air Force Base from July 8 - 10, 2026for a three-day immersion highlighting the installation's people as well as the mission, readiness and modernization efforts across the wing, before presiding over the 20th Air Force Change of Command.
The visit provided an in-depth look at the 90th Missile Wing's nuclear mission through demonstrations, mission briefs and engagements with Airmen. Davis observed a security forces convoy exercise and recognized outstanding performers.
The visit also highlighted ongoing installation modernization efforts with discussions about facilities sustainment, restoration and modernization before traveling to Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center’s North Training Area. There,Davis observed sniper and smart shooter demonstrations, providing a first-hand look at emerging technologies that support installation security and readiness.
Throughout the visit, Davis and Aiello met with group commanders, command chiefs and wing leadership to discuss mission priorities, force development and the future of the intercontinental ballistic missile enterprise.
