Staff Sgt. Narissa Pitter wins AFRC 2T2 Airman of the Year
ANDERSEN AFB, GUAM – Staff Sgt. Narissa Pitter, 44th Aerial Port Squadron joint inspector at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, won the Air Transportation Specialty 2T2 Airman of the Year category from the 2025 Air Force Reserve Command Logistics Readiness Unit, Individual and Functional Area & Team Awards, on Feb. 10, 2026.
Maj. Gen. Stacey L. Scarisbrick, AFRC director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, announced the 2025 winners. According to Scarisbrick, “the consistently high caliber of this year's submissions underscores the exceptional work and commitment to excellence prevalent throughout our community.”
As a Senior Airman, Pitter taught foreign ally counterparts of the Royal Thai Air Force and Philippine Air Force basic air transportation skills like pallet build-up and center of balance calculations during back-to-back tours in the Philippines at Baso Air Base, Pampanga, and Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base, Cebu. Even as a junior enlisted, she understands that joint force capabilities with our partner nations are important, despite clear operational differences.
“That’s a big deal for me, especially with everything going on in the world,” said Pitter. “I want to make sure we are able to work together.”
Her advice to any new and aspiring 2T2s is to “be ready to learn.”
“Take any opportunities that you can and use them to help better yourself.”
Pitter will make five years of service this July. Outside of the uniform, she is a park police officer. For her, military leadership and family support are the biggest contributors to her success.
“Both sides push me to be better,” says Pitter. “They gave me all the tools to be where I’m at.”
