The Marshall Center hosted a virtual discussion as part of its Online Seminar Series in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, March 10, 2026, focused on current developments shaping the security environment and their broader implications.
“It is in Ukraine’s clear interest that Iran emerges as a market-democratic stable state, and in Russia’s for the U.S. tied down in Iran for as long as possible and to expend far more military resources than initially planned, as well as to prevent regime change,” said Graeme Herd, Ph.D., Marshall Center professor.
Herd, alongside Yevgeniya Gaber, Ph.D., a Marshall Center professor, convened the discussion with security professionals from across the Marshall Center network to address developments in Iran, Ukraine’s role in countering drone threats, and the broader geopolitical context shaping the security environment.
These discussions keep the Marshall Center and its network at the forefront of evolving security challenges, contributing to security dialogue that shapes decision-making.
