Corps of Engineers seeks public comments on Kenmare sewer system repairs

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on a draft environmental assessment, or EA, to upgrade the sanitary sewer and water system in Kenmare, North Dakota.

The proposed project would support upgrades to the system through either rehabilitation of sewer and water mains or by completely replacing mains that are beyond repair or out of code. Any impacted hydrants, curb stops, service lines or gate valves would also be repaired or replaced. The proposed project is set to occur completely within the city’s right of way. Construction for the project is anticipated to begin this summer and last four months.

A final determination on the draft EA will be made following the public review period. A copy of the EA can be viewed and downloaded at: https://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/Home/PublicNotices.aspx.The Corps of Engineers is conducting a review of the environmental effects in accordance with the National Environment Policy Act.
