A pharmacy note for TRICARE Prime Remote beneficiaries: As of Feb. 28, TPR beneficiaries in the U.S. no longer pay a copayment when filling TRICARE-covered prescriptions. The waiver applies to both TRICARE retail network pharmacies and TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery. TPR beneficiaries don’t need to take any action for the waiver to take effect. When you fill a TRICARE-covered drug at a retail network pharmacy or through home delivery, your copayment will automatically be $0. To get non-formulary drugs at no cost, your provider must establish medical necessity.
