PABRADE, Lithuania – U.S. Army Maj. Steve Leong, Task Force Pergalė Officer, assigned to 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Field Artillery Brigade receives Medal for Mutual Support from Lithuanian Armed Forces, Feb. 24, 2026, on Forward Operating Site Herkus, Parbrade, Lithuania.

“It is significant because it is a visible gesture of the Lithuanian gratitude for our deployment to their country as we bring combat-credible forces in support of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line,” said Maj. Leong. “We are humbled to receive this honor and are appreciative to the Lithuanian Armed Forces.”

The Lithuanian Armed Forces Medal for Mutual Support is an honor the Chief of Defense approves for Allied forces that contribute to their Lithuanian relationship while deployed to Lithuania. The ceremony reflects the partnership between U.S. and Lithuanian forces as an outward, visible representation of our efforts, and more importantly, the lasting relationships built throughout their hard work and training together.

Task Force Pergalė’s significant contributions include the successful HIMARS Apprenticeship program, where Bravo Battery, 1-14 FAR had the opportunity to train the Lithuanian HIMARS Battery through Artillery Table V Certification, culminating with a recent live fire exercise. They worked with the Lithuanian Defense Staff to share doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures, and lessons learned. Lastly, they were able to stand shoulder to shoulder with their Lithuanian allies as NATO further enhanced the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line from September 2025 to February 2026.
