NAWCWD recognizes new Electronic Warfare specialists

Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division recognized five engineers Jan. 21 for completing its Electronic Warfare Engineering Certificate Program.

A hybrid virtual ceremony across Naval Air Systems Command honored the graduates for finishing the four-year curriculum.

Honorees included Kaylee Arceo of Patuxent River, Md.; Leonel McMichael Martinez of Point Mugu, Calif.; and Michael Fischer, Deneyce Joseph and Pavel Rybakov of China Lake, Calif.

The competitive program combines graduate-level academics from the Naval Postgraduate School with hands-on laboratory work guided by NAWCWD subject matter experts. This approach provides a deep understanding of electronic warfare, which includes electronic attack, protection, and support.

Graduates complete nine advanced NPS courses to earn the program certification, a master's degree in electrical engineering, and three separate certificates in Electronic Warfare from postgraduate school.

NAWCWD leaders Andrew Chen, Mark Roth, and Gerardo Garcia were present to congratulate the graduates on their contributions to the field.
