916th success as TFI is focus of documentary

The 916th AirRefueling Wing is the subject of an upcoming documentary on UNC-TV (PBS)airing soon.

The 30-minute documentary will focus on the wing as the Air Force's first active associate tankerwing.

The idea came about after an UNC TVexecutive flew with the 916th on a civic leader orientation flight and was impressed by how the Reserve and Active Duty Airmen worked so closely together to make the mission a success.

UNC TVcamera crews have visited the wing several times in order to capture footage of 916th ARW reservists and 911th Air Refueling Squadron active duty Airmen working on the ramp, flying the KC-135, and working in the backshops that help support flying and maintenance.

The crew has even captured several interviews with pilots, boom operators, and maintainers about their military experiences and what it is like to work in a successful total force integrated wing.

Stay tuned to the wing's Facebook page to get more information on the exact date the documentary will air.
