Gen. Gregory Guillot, commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, visited the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, Rhode Island, on Jan. 7, 2026.
Guillot met with Rear Adm. Darryl Walker, president of the war college, and addressed military and civilian students, faculty and staff. U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) conducts homeland defense, civil support and security cooperation to defend and secure the United States and its interests. “It was a true pleasure to welcome Gen.Guillotto the U.S. Naval War College,” said Walker. “U.S. Northern Command holds the highest of priority missions in protecting the homeland. The general’s visit – and his keen insight – ensured our institution is armed with the knowledge and guidance to prepare the next wave of warfighters to execute that mission successfully.”
Guillot assumed command of NORAD and USNORTHCOM in February of 2024, following a tour as the deputy commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). Previously, Guillot served as Combined Force Air Component Commander for CENTCOM, as well as tours as commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command and USNORTHCOM director of operations, among others.
