KABUL – A combined Afghan National Police and International Security Assistance Force patrol discovered a large weapons cache in the Deh Rawud district of Uruzgan province yesterday.
The weapons cache consisted of 150 rocket-propelled grenades. The grenades were taken to a nearby coalition facility where they were destroyed.
“This is a significant amount of munitions taken out of the hands of insurgents who would do nothing but harm with them,” said U.S. Air Force Col. James Dawkins, ISAF Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center director.
