Oakland, Maryland native Air Force Capt. Timothy McDaniel was awarded the 2024 Mobility Air Force Aeromedical Evacuation Mission Support Company Grade Officer Award for Air Force Reserve Command. Over the past year, McDaniel’s management efforts improved his unit’s training efficiency and mission readiness and ensured squadron members achieved their mission qualification goals. He also participated in exercise COPE NORTH ’24, U.S. Pacific Air Forces’ largest annual multilateral exercise, where he served as the Aeromedical Evacuation Operations Officer overseeing 20 training and two real-world missions and facilitating 101 transfer patients for 33 urgent and 16 priority cases with eight Critical Care Air Transport Team patients. He did all of this and more while maintaining his full-time responsibilities at his unit and taking courses in Squadron Officer School. Capt. McDaniel is the Officer in Charge of Mission Management at the 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, Md., and has 15 years of military service.
