KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghan interior ministry and coalition forces on Feb. 5, in the morning, Col. Attaullah deputy chief police of Kapisa was arrested for illegal activity and corruption in Bagram District, Parwan and Kapisa provinces.

Afghan interior ministry and coalition forces were jointly following Col. Attaullah and his activities and he was arrested Feb.5.

The case is under joint investigation of interior ministry of Afghanistan and coalition forces.

A known improvised explosive device facilitator, he has been involved in the storage, distribution and installation of IEDs on the roads surrounding Mahmud-Raqi. He is also involved in bribery and corruption related to road refurbishment. He has been clearly linked to criminal activities including a murder during the summer of 2009.

ISAF Forces are continuing to work in support of government of Afghanistan and the Afghan national security forces to remove criminals in order to provide a stable environment for the people of Afghanistan.
