KABUL, Afghanistan — Three Afghan civilians were killed today and several others were wounded by insurgent small arms fire.
According to an operational report, the group was travelling in a taxi south of Sulamenzai village in Paktika province when they came under insurgent fire. Three women were killed and another was wounded. Two males were also wounded in the incident.
The taxi driver drove them to a nearby ISAF base where the wounded promptly received medical care.
