Camp Atterbury, IN - The 157th Infantry Brigade hosts an assessment course for the 2023 Best Ranger, Best Sapper and Best Medic competitions at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, the week of Nov. 8, 2022. Soldiers from across First Army tested their physical ability, technical and tactical skills, and casualty care knowledge for the opportunity to represent First Army in the upcoming competitions. Observer, coach/trainers assigned to the 290th Brigade Support Battalion, 157th Infantry Brigade evaluated the 11 competitors with a physical assessment, land navigation course, ruck march, and other events over the course of 48 hours. Soldiers selected to participate in the competitions will begin training and team building events to prepare for the competitions scheduled in 2023.
